The Arcane Gear: I Devour the Old Ones with the System

The age of the fog-shrouded city, where steam roars and machinery intertwines with the occult. Whispers of the Old Gods echo, while forbidden knowledge stirs beneath the surface.

Investigator Abel Carter was born into an ordinary life, but during a mine collapse he unexpectedly acquired a strange System. Deep within the world lurk nine unknowable Great Old Ones. Humanity relies on a blend of steam technology and occult arts to create supernatural professions such as Espers and Mechanics.

Bearing a blood-red System, he walks the line between madness and sanity, hunting the servants of evil gods and gathering mysterious materials to strengthen himself. Every encounter with the unknown brings both corruption and awakening.

The System grants him the power of "Resonance," allowing him to analyze fibers, make reverse-entropy leaps, listen to chaos, manipulate probability, and more. Each ability puts him head and shoulders above ordinary people.

From the mine disaster to the collapse of the clock tower, from temporal resonance to dimensional leaps, he continues to evolve through battle, becoming the ultimate weapon against the abyss.

At last, when the nine Great Old Ones descend, he will use the full power of his System to rewrite the world's fate, ascend to the highest realm, and become an unspeakable being.
