Lin Xiao is an ordinary university graduate living in a modern city. Born into poverty and orphaned at a young age, he scrapes by on meager wages from odd jobs. At first, he is somewhat introverted and insecure, but deep down he is kind and upright, with a strong sense of responsibility and compassion. He longs for a stable life, yet has a vague feeling that something is missing.
