One Piece: The Roger Pirates' Young Swordsman

[The Roger Pirates' First Apprentice] [Great Swordsman] [Took Part in God Valley] [Raised to Greatness Aboard Roger's Ship]

On the deck of the Oro Jackson, Ling Ye's sword always trembled with the waves.

As the youngest apprentice in the Roger Pirates, he learned Ryuo from Rayleigh, watched Roger decipher the Poneglyphs, and toughened his wrists under Gaban's scolding. From the frustration of being unable to hold his sword on Vine Island to the moment he cleaved the thunderclouds with Ryuo in the sky islands, the boy's growth was written in every tear in the sails and every stitch that mended them.

When the outline of Laugh Tale came into view, Ling Ye suddenly understood: the most precious thing about this voyage wasn't the treasure at its end, but the sea sand that had clung to his sword while sailing with this band of lunatics, and the bonds that burned hotter than Haki.

This is the story of a young swordsman who sailed alongside legends before the age of the Pirate King began.
