My NPCs Have All Rebelled

The NPCs in the horror game I designed have all rebelled. The madwoman was supposed to drug me and brainwash me, but instead she handed me a cup of hot cocoa. She was supposed to say ominously, “Welcome to Hell's Branch School,” but instead she gently said, “Welcome home.” As I watched the whole school of mutants chase me, I ran and cried, “This isn't how the script goes!”
