Jiang Wan travels to 1974 and becomes a “black-category” educated youth assigned to a salvage station.
While everyone else is miserable sweeping the streets, she finds a futuristic AI brain in a pile of scrap metal:
“Ding! Host detected in a technological wasteland. Activate ‘Civilization Leap’ mode?”
From then on, she turns junk into treasure:
✧ Rusty gears + broken wires = an ahead-of-its-time radio (she uses it to monitor enemy broadcasts and gets chased and scolded by the Revolutionary Committee)
✧ Scrapped lathe + kerosene lamp = precision machining device (military industry bigwigs beg her for the blueprints)
✧ Dead battery + chamber pot = simple nuclear radiation detector (enemy spies flee overnight, hauling a train with them)
Then one day...
The stone-faced officer Lu Chenzhou storms into the salvage station with a gun: “Comrade Jiang Wan, you are suspected of leaking state secrets. Come with me for questioning!”
Jiang Wan whips out a stack of blueprints: “Officer, the stealth fighter design you wanted... could I trade it for a ‘get-out-of-death-free card’?”
Later...
The military conference room erupts: “We have to protect this girl! Assign Lu Chenzhou to watch her around the clock!”
Lu Chenzhou: “...She took apart my watch in the middle of the night to make a signal transmitter. I can't do this job!”
[Tech-obsessed heroine x gruff-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside officer]
“Don't ask. It's patriotism, that's all! As for the AI brain? I taught myself from my family's heirloom, the Militia Handbook!”
It's so confusing, the name plot is so confusing that I'm speechless.
The writing is too messy and the plot doesn't even match up. Did the AI make random changes after it was written?
