The Ming Dynasty Is Not Yet Fallen! I Will Not Fail the People

After six years lost in wine and women, Su Fan, a transmigrator bound by the phantom image of a white silk noose on Coal Hill, is drunk when he hears the dreadful news turn into a victory report: the Ming dynasty has not fallen! The Yongli Emperor has inherited the throne, rebel armies are rising everywhere, and sparks of hope remain! The words “The people of the realm have not failed me” split the dispirited night like a thunderclap. Barefoot, he strides across the dust-covered Hall of Heavenly Favor, tears apart his imperial robe, and lets despair burn away in his blood-red eyes. Then he casts down a blood-soaked edict before the empty court, one that will shake the land:

>

> **“Where the dragon robe is torn, thunder rises; blood seeps from the jade seal as the beacon fires spread!”**

> **“The sparks still live, and Heaven has not forsaken us. I will not fail the people, nor Heaven!”**

>

> All who raise the banner of rebellion against the invaders are soldiers of the Ming! The rotten base of the dragon throne cracks apart, and the blood-soaked edict proclaims the Mandate of Heaven. At a time when the Central Plains have fallen and barbarian dust blots out the sun, an emperor crawling out of an abyss of drunken debauchery vows to use his broken body as kindling and rekindle the wildfire. Across the shattered realm, see how heroes from humble beginnings, remnants of the border armies, and lone ships at sea answer the summons of this blood-written edict and gather into an iron torrent that tears through the darkness! The road to victory is paved with bones. Every inch of reclaimed land will be won in blood and fire, writing a tragic epic: “The people of the realm have not failed me, and I will never fail the people of the realm!”
