The Age of Emberlight

At the end of the Eastern Jin dynasty, the tyrannical Jie Zhao regime ravaged the Central Plains. Xiao Chenxin, son of a historian from the previous dynasty, headed north to fulfill his father's dying wish: to protect the surviving pages of the Records of the Monasteries of Luoyang, a chronicle of Chinese civilization. Amid the flames of war, he met Su Manqing, a noblewoman and warrior; Murong Yan, a Xianbei spy; Shi Gandang, a hero who fought tyranny; and other remarkable figures. Together, they formed an alliance against oppression. They defied the law to save the people and established a "Common Farming Zone" deep in the Qinling Mountains, where different peoples could live together and safeguard the flame of civilization.

Yet the surviving pages of the Records concealed the "Earth Vein Mechanism Map," a secret that could determine the fate of the realm! The Jie Zhao high priest, "Ghost Dove," sought to detonate the earth veins and reshape the land with dark power. Xiao Chenxin and Su Manqing ventured into danger to seek out the reclusive master Xuanjizi and uncover the earth veins' shocking secrets. A sweeping struggle to protect the flame of civilization, prevent the land's destruction, and seek the light of humanity and hope for coexistence amid the chaos unfolded amid clashing blades and the passing down of culture. Chenxin's sword protected more than scrolls: it guarded the light in people's hearts and the future of this land.
