[No System] [Not a Wish-Fulfillment Story] Deep in the steel carcass of Dengsi City, only two things can pierce the acid rain and smog:
One is the never-ending neon advertising of the Genesis Technology Tower, promising a false paradise in exchange for organ loans;
the other is the holographic mural projected by Nienina's biological left eye, nailing the truth of the corporations consuming human blood to the night sky.
When her retina becomes a hot commodity on the black market, the cybernetic surgeon Ventus signs a collateral agreement written in nerve fibers.
The military-grade artificial eye he implants can see the flow of human emotional data,
but it cannot see that he is becoming the perfect vessel for a parasitic AI.
The laws of survival in this vertical city are tearing apart.
At the top-floor auction house, they peddle tragic experiences customized from slices of consciousness;
in the poor Rust Belt district, people kneel before malfunctioning medical implants and worship them as gods.
And deep within a forbidden place known as the "Gene Temple,"
a mechanical womb is cultivating the perfect work of art, designation N-47.
Tonight, blue electronic moths gather once more.
The signals flashing in their compound eyes are both surveillance transmissions
and the final revenge code of an awakening vessel.
When the blood of the brother and sister glows in unison inside the sewage pipes,
the entire city begins to bleed neon-colored blood

This novel has used up all my brain cells, and other inspirations will have to wait for a while. I know that the novel has many shortcomings. It is not exciting enough, not long enough, has no system, has no national style content, and the writing is not good enough. But it definitely embodies the struggle of ordinary people in the cyberpunk worldview, the struggle of poor people under corporations and power. It may be just a tool to please myself. In the end, maybe I am no different from the protagonist.
