Midnight Roommates

In a trendy city in 2024, an ordinary-looking old apartment building hides a paranormal legend. Room 302 on the third floor is notorious as a “rental black hole.” It has had 17 tenants in ten years, and every one of them experienced strange things after moving in. Chen Zhou, a recent college graduate looking to save on rent, rents the place. But when he signs the lease, the landlord hands him a set of “Shared Apartment Rules”: a yellowed sheet of A4 paper printed with 12 bizarre instructions. “Do not use the elevator after 11 p.m.” “If you hear knocking at 3 a.m., look through the peephole three times before opening the door.” “Never answer the voice calling from the bathroom mirror”... Stranger still, the apartment's smart devices always go haywire after midnight: the security cameras automatically record warped silhouettes, the Wi-Fi signal turns into “302 Reunion of the Dead” at exactly 4 a.m., and the smart door lock changes its password on its own.
