Addicted to Her: The Beloved of Beijing’s Buddhist Gentleman

After her parents died, Shang Yu was abandoned by everyone. Even her closest aunt gave up on her completely. Then a gentle, smiling young man came to her, his gaze tender and lingering. “Xiao Yu, your big brother will take you home.” Shang Shaoyu cherished and protected her, letting her live freely, vibrantly, and without restraint. He was the moon hanging high in her night sky. Later, Lin Wanyue appeared, and the moonlight that had once shone on her vanished completely. Shang Yu was banished to a Buddhist temple, desolate as the wilderness. Her life, too, became a desolate wilderness. Then, because of an accident, she unknowingly climbed into Liang Jingyan’s bed. The man held prayer beads in his hand, his thin lips curling slightly, a red beauty mark at the corner of his eye. He pitied all living things, yet was cold and merciless. She had never imagined that there might be anything between them, until Liang Jingyan pinned her against the door, kissing her deeply as he whispered a lingering threat: “Afraid your dear big brother will hear? Be good, darling. Beg me, and I’ll let you go.”
