# Powerful, influential top x pitiful bottom # Mutual devotion
Jin Yan first met Su Yu at the company’s annual gala. Jin Yan was surrounded by people and giving a speech when his trouser leg suddenly went cold.
A waiter had fallen flat on his rear, spilling half a glass of champagne right onto Jin Yan’s tailored suit.
Su Yu’s face went white. In a panic, he fumbled for a tissue like a startled fledgling. “I-I’m sorry! I’ll pay for it! Could I pay in installments? I haven’t gotten this month’s salary yet…”
Jin Yan stared at his reddened eyes and, for once, didn’t call security. “How will you pay me back?”
The poor thing bit his lip before managing, “I-I could wash your shirt?”
The whole room fell silent. Before long, everyone at the company knew that President Jin, who could reprimand a manager into quitting, now had a little shadow at his side who was always looking down.
Jin Yan discovered that Su Yu was a “trouble magnet”: he made the microwave smoke while brewing coffee, filed confidential documents into the shredder, and tripped over carpets. Every time he fell into Jin Yan’s arms, his eyelashes trembled like dandelion fluff.
No one knew that late at night, Jin Yan would clean up the mess left by people who’d been excluding Su Yu, tuck his chilled hands into his own pockets, and stand up for him when he was put on the spot at board meetings.
When business rivals tried to use Su Yu to make trouble, Jin Yan shielded him and smiled at the cameras. “My little one is timid. If you scare him, I won’t be happy.”
Hiding behind him, Su Yu tugged at his tie. “Jin Yan, they’re saying bad things about you…”
“Hmm?”
“I talked back,” the poor thing said, his voice trembling but resolute. “I told them you’re the best person in the whole world.”
(No angst, just a doting top turning his bottom into a lovable airhead, and a bottom doing everything he can to warm his ice-cold top. Their everyday life is all about mutual devotion!)
