The Sixth Book of Northern Autumn

He gets the “Strongest Show-Off and Face-Slapping System.” As long as he successfully shows off in front of a woman, the rewards are maxed out! Showing off in front of his materialistic future mother-in-law: “Auntie, this hundred million is just pocket money. It’s not good enough for your daughter.” “I’m the developer of this building. Pick any floor you like.” “What? You’re asking about the bride price? I just bought your family’s company yesterday.” Showing off in front of an innocent, pure-hearted girl: “Don’t be afraid. This bottle of water only costs two yuan. It’s on me.” “The wind sure is rowdy today.” “Look at that cloud. Doesn’t it look like the fifty cents you owed me yesterday?” On one side is my future mother-in-law, who thinks I’m poor and calls me useless. I need to use money and power to leave her red-faced. On the other is a kind, innocent treasure of a girl who’ll be happy for days if I buy her a bottle of water, and thinks I’m reciting poetry. My show-off points are running low! Should I win over my future mother-in-law first, until she begs me through tears to marry her daughter, or protect this innocence and tell the girl that... I’m actually really rich?
