The Northern Song Dynasty, but I'm a Jurchen

[Transmigrated into a Jurchen] [Multiple plotlines] [Slow burn] [Not a power fantasy] [No golden finger] [Passionate usurpation of the Jin throne]

[Not for readers who prefer a fast pace. This book contains extensive descriptions of the five senses, atmosphere, and setting.]

Tu Dan Yunhe wakes to find himself wearing the leather armor of a Jin soldier, with Aguda's dragon banner snapping in the wind before him.

No System, no foreknowledge, only a bloodstained mace and the dying curses of the Khitans.

From the fall of the Liao to the Jingkang Incident...

He rides with the Iron Pagoda cavalry to trample the Liao emperor's tent, and earns the rank of meng'an through military merit. But when the army marches south, he loosens his reins.

"The blood of the Han people can't wash the Jurchen blades clean."

The wheels of history crush his original convictions...

He campaigns east against Goryeo and fights bloody battles with the island barbarians... The authority of a wanhu drives him toward the pyre.

When the final war drums of Song and Jin sound, he retreats in defeat from Yancheng, watching Yue banners fill the mountains and plains.

He lies low in the dark for fifteen years...

In the blizzards of Huining Prefecture, he sharpens three blades:

The blade of authority, to bring the Jurchen nobility to heel;

The blade of the frontier, to stop the Mongol cavalry;

And... the regicide blade, aimed at the sacred altar of the Wanyan clan!

[Bonus Scene]

Lin'an envoy: "The Jin ruler is willing to divide the land along the river and rule..."

The new emperor tears up the peace treaty and points his sword south. "Tell the Zhao family:"

"I usurped not the dragon throne, but the Mandate of Heaven!"
