The Double Life of a Stand-In Singer

Lin Wan, a stand-in singer whose voice closely resembles that of a late diva, is forced to sign a secret marriage agreement with Huo Yanci, CEO of Huo Group, as she investigates the truth behind the “accidental fall” that killed her mother, Huo Qingci, the former music director of the Huo family. She enters the world of the wealthy shackled by her role as a “replacement,” unaware that the agreement is part of a game Huo Yanci has carefully planned. He has long noticed the jade pendant she shares with her mother, and the Huo family secret hidden within it. Huo Mingyuan, a leader among the Huo family’s collateral branch, fabricates a DNA report to seize power, falsely claiming that Lin Wan and Huo Yanci are “close relatives” in an attempt to separate them with the threat of incest. Su Tang, a popular actress jealous of Lin Wan’s talent and Huo Yanci’s favor, repeatedly lays deadly traps for her, including stage accidents and kidnapping schemes. Through one life-or-death struggle after another, Lin Wan discovers that her mother was an orphan adopted by the Huo family, disproving the rumors about their blood ties. The burn scar on Huo Yanci’s left hand turns out to be a mark he got while saving Lin Wan ten years ago. When the two halves of the jade pendant are joined, they reveal the account books her mother hid in the Huo family’s old residence, exposing the shocking embezzlement of a 10-billion-yuan charitable fund. From a marriage of convenience to a true commitment, from a stand-in singer to an original music queen, Lin Wan and Huo Yanci join forces to tear apart the conspiracies and bring the culprits to justice. When the jade pendant finally lights up in their daughter’s hands, revealing her mother’s blessing, they at last understand: every “replacement” and “contract” was fate’s way of leading them to true love.
