The Dao's Mysterious Gate

Ling Xuan abandons the civil service to pursue the Dao. After enduring a tiger's pursuit, a corrupt scholar's taunts, and a swindler's robbery, he is finally enlightened by Perfected Fire Dragon and obtains magical treasures such as the Thunderfire Pearl. He captures demons and fights evil spirits, and even rescues Lian Chengbi, a brother of the greenwood. Seeking the truth between the immortal path and the mortal world, he ultimately attains the Dao of Mysterious Ice, leaving behind a legend of a Confucian scholar seeking the Dao, vanquishing evil, and championing goodness.
