“When they ripped out my immortal marrow, no one imagined
that the ‘mortal heart’ they cast aside like worthless trash would raise a child in the lower realm!”
Jiang Yue, the Celestial Maiden of Yuxiao, was stripped of her marrow and cast down into the mortal world for harboring a trace of mortal affection.
Ten years later, she lives in hiding in a mountain village, earning her keep as a teacher and raising A Bao, an orphan she found.
When her sworn enemy, a junior sister, falls into the mortal realm badly wounded and is rescued by A Bao
The immortal sect flies into a fury, and heavenly soldiers descend!
Beneath a sky of golden light, the immortals look down on the trembling child and pass judgment: “A lowly mortal-born creature is unworthy of approaching the sacred source!”
Jiang Yue throws back her head and laughs, each word cutting to the heart:
“Do you know that he is the spirit born from the mortal heart you yourselves tore out all those years ago?!”
One sentence shakes the heavens, and the Heavenly Dao cracks!
This inferno, born of betrayal, will one day burn through the nine celestial gates!*
