The Undead Arbiter: Elegy of Ashes

The “Wailing Lands” are death’s whisper, a forbidden zone for the living. An undead calamity sweeps across the Kingdom of Erandia, turning countless lives to bones. In its wake, the Church of the “Light of Life” rises to power, carrying out judgment in the name of “purification.” Yet while everyone sees the undead as embodiments of evil, Bai Ye, a young man from the East, can hear their sorrowful songs. He is no ordinary necromancer, but a one-of-a-kind “Undead Arbiter,” an extraordinary being who can communicate with the dead, see into their pasts, and even grant them release.

Bearing a promise to the dead of his homeland, Bai Ye steps onto this Western continent shrouded in misunderstanding and fear. He will confront a world where the boundaries between life and death, light and darkness, have grown indistinct. Along a thorny holy path, hunted by the Church and reviled by the people, Bai Ye will gradually uncover the true origins of the undead calamity, challenge the hypocrisy and cruelty of the Church of the “Light of Life,” and search for the source of an ancient curse. In the end, he will bring peace to the dead, show the living the way to hope, and compose a requiem that transcends life and death, a song of rebirth from the ashes.
