Divine Realm's Rebel Disciple: The Sin of the Crown

This is a world completely “kept in captivity” by the gods. The moment they are born, everyone has the “Mark of the Gods” appear on their forehead. It determines their career, status, and potential for life. The faithful worship the gods devoutly, believing them to be their salvation, never knowing that the gods are feeding on humanity's spirituality through the marks. Feng Lu was born in the lowliest district of all, the “Slaughterhouse,” with nothing on his forehead but a bloodstain signifying blasphemy. He spent his entire life slaughtering pigs in the temple's abattoir, until one day he accidentally devoured a severed finger that had fallen from a god. From then on, his butcher's knife would no longer be aimed at livestock.
