【Ensemble of strong female leads + pure romance + woman disguised as a man】 Two possible endings Master tomb raider × noblewoman with an intelligence network; using wit to break through rigid class barriers Mu Fengqian, known in the modern tomb-raiding world as the “Ghost-Hand Lady,” decides to quit the business and make one last score before her team splits up. But the ancient tomb's mechanisms suddenly spring to life, sending her tumbling into a temporal vortex. When she wakes, she is in the Moon Dynasty, where heavy snow has sealed off the mountains. With no one to turn to, she freezes in the wilderness, until the coroner Mu Zuoyuan saves her. To repay him, she disguises herself as a man and accompanies the old man on his visits to funeral homes, learning the secrets of forensic examination among decaying bones and silver needles. When Shen Bieli, a noblewoman of the Moon Dynasty, arrives at the funeral home with a “cold case,” Mu Fengqian uses modern criminal-investigation methods to solve strange crimes among the people. Shen Bieli, meanwhile, is a brilliant strategist. Though she is publicly known as the Duke's legitimate daughter, she secretly controls an intelligence network throughout the martial world. Together, the two women expose the ugliness of human nature lurking beneath the Moon Dynasty's golden age. Through a succession of cases and strange folk happenings, between Mu Fengqian's gleaming autopsy knife and Shen Bieli's delicately scented, flexible sword, Mu Fengqian gradually recognizes in the other's eyes the very same loneliness she feels. The two souls quietly draw closer as they entrust their lives to each other. It turns out that what crosses the boundaries of time is not only mechanisms and corpses, but also two hearts unwilling to be defined by convention.
