The Icebound Mystic Emperor

Lin Xiao was a once-in-a-century genius of the Bingli Sect, but an accident left him afflicted with a chilling poison. His cultivation stalled, and he became a good-for-nothing.

Day and night, he trained in the icy pool behind the Bingli Sect, enduring the bone-deep cold just to suppress the poison within him.

During one session in the pool, the poison erupted. As Lin Xiao hovered on the brink of death, it unexpectedly resonated with a mysterious piece of profound ice deep beneath the water.

The ice shattered and became a streak of light that entered Lin Xiao's body. Not only did it dispel the poison, it also imprinted an ancient ice cultivation art, the Profound Nether True Canon, onto his mind.

From that moment on, Lin Xiao embarked on a path to defy fate and change his destiny.

The aloof senior sister Ling Xue watches him in secret, while the lively Huang Weier barges into his life without warning. What turmoil will arise from the clash of ice and fire?
