Shadow of the Eternal Night

In a torrential downpour, Ye Xiaoying curls up in a foul-smelling garbage heap.

Three days ago, the Order of Light slaughtered his entire clan, simply because the Ye family carried the bloodline of the dark element.

As he teeters on the brink of death, a Shadow Core from the Evernight enters his body.

“Purge the heretic!” An enforcer of the Order lunges at him with a sword. Ye Xiaoying shuts his eyes in despair.

Amid unbearable pain, the power of shadow erupts. Shadows twist like living things and slaughter the pursuers.

He opens his eyes, a vortex of darkness consuming everything reflected in their depths.

“So this is the power of the Evernight…”

More pursuers call out in the distance: “He’s over there! Don’t let that last remnant escape!”

Ye Xiaoying licks the blood from the corner of his mouth and melts into the shadows.
