In the 1970s, Big Sister Gathers Seafood to Spoil Her Younger Siblings

In 1978, Lin Xiaoman, a young woman from a fishing village in Jiaodong, sees her family fall into hardship when her father becomes seriously ill and loses the ability to work. They have no money for medicine, and her younger siblings are going hungry. Using the coastal foraging skills her father taught her as a child, she heads to the shore at dawn during low tide to gather oysters, swimming crabs, mantis shrimp, and other seafood, then sells them in town to help support the family. Along the way, she meets Chen Zhiyuan, a geologist surveying the fishing village. They begin by helping each other, then gradually fall in love. Together, they improve their family's life by gathering and selling seafood, witness the changes in the fishing village, and ultimately find happiness.
