The Carefree Prince of Great Qin: From a Good-for-Nothing to the Mastermind

*Worldbuilding:* Based on the Qin dynasty, with history either fictionalized or partly fictionalized and details adjusted as needed. The story takes place in the early or middle years after Qin Shi Huang's unification, when the empire is powerful but undercurrents of unrest are brewing. Society is rigidly hierarchical, and imperial authority reigns supreme.

*Protagonist:* Ying Xiao, or another surname befitting a member of the Qin royal family, such as Zhao or Ying. He has a modern soul, perhaps that of a financial expert, an engineer, or a history enthusiast, and possesses expertise in a particular field or a modern way of thinking.

*Identity:* A prince of the Great Qin Empire. His background is as follows:

*The "good-for-nothing" label:* The original owner was timid, unambitious, and obsessed with pleasure, spending his days cockfighting, hunting, and chasing women. He had no political ability whatsoever and was a laughingstock among the imperial clan and the court. The emperor, Qin Shi Huang, had given up on him entirely and kept him around as an idle member of the royal family.

*Awkward standing:* He might be a distant descendant of a prince who died young, or an unpopular younger half-brother or cousin of Qin Shi Huang. His title could be somewhat ironic, such as "Prince of Leisure," "Prince of Bliss," or "Prince of Tranquil Peace," though his life is anything but peaceful.
