Hear the echoes of all living things, and play the stirring music of life. Be they ordinary or divine, all seek a paradise of self-redemption and a passage to the far shore of the past. My name is Li Ji, a selfish man who lives by the creed, “In this life, I serve only myself.” When I thought paradise marked the end of this battle, I was told it was only the beginning of everything. The clamor of fate rises once more. Beneath the radiance of paradise, all I see is an elaborate farce. If fate is nothing but a cruel joke, what is there left to hope for?
