Folklore scholar Su Yan boards a cursed cruise ship.
To investigate the mystery of a bride who plunged into the sea, he steps aboard the rust-encrusted Cangming. From between the bed slats, he pulls out an ancient blood-jade comb tangled with black hair.
When a ghost wearing a scarlet bridal veil appears in the mirror and "combs his hair," the whole ship begins to rot.
The crew turn into bloodthirsty walking corpses, writhing evil sigils spread across the steel bulkheads, and deep in the engine room, beneath the roar of the engines, lies an abyssal altar built to sacrifice the entire ship!
Desperate, Su Yan plunges the bloodstained jade comb into a walking corpse's heart, only to see in the bloodied reflection:
Behind him looms a vast, twisted shadow, as huge as a mountain.
Every walking corpse abruptly kneels, its roar cutting through the sea fog:
> "Welcome back, our Lord!"
Was he merely prey, accidentally caught up in the sacrifice...
Or is he the ruler destined to awaken in this deep-sea nightmare?
