The Cage of the Wind

*Yi Guling: Cool and distant on the outside, yet resilient and sensitive within. A top cardiac surgeon with exceptional skills and lofty professional ideals and ethics. She comes from a complicated family background and harbors deep-seated insecurities and trauma. At first, she endures in silence. Later, driven to despair, she erupts in rebellion, only to be utterly destroyed in the end.

*Jiang Yufeng: A business tycoon who is ruthless and extreme, with an overwhelming need for control. His childhood warped his understanding of emotions. He does not know how to love normally, equating “love” with “absolute possession” and “control.” He is pathologically infatuated with Yi Guling and obsessively possessive of her. Handsome and domineering on the outside, he is profoundly insecure and distrustful within, quick-tempered, sinister, and so possessive that it is suffocating.
