From Medicine to Literature?! Transported to Ancient Times to Save the Nation

[A woman disguised as a man] [Imperial examinations] [Transmigration] [No romance] [Strong female lead] [Political intrigue] In ancient times, Lu Xun gave up medicine for literature to save his country. In modern times, Jing Lan gives up medicine for literature to save the people from a world in chaos. Jiang Jinglan, a student of traditional Chinese medicine, is struck by lightning and sent to an unknown dynasty after “kindly” urging someone else to study medicine. When she opens her eyes, she finds herself in the body of a child raised as a boy. To survive, she picks up the rigid examination essays and sets out on the narrow path of the imperial exams. With a brush in one hand and mastery of traditional medicine in the other, she uses her profound medical knowledge and diagnostic skills to rescue the people from danger. At the palace examination, her policy essay, infused with the wisdom of balance between yin and yang in traditional medicine, shocks the court, and she is named the youngest top scholar in history. Yet beneath the glory, undercurrents surge. The secret of her sex hangs over her like a blade, while conservative political enemies never stop attacking her openly and covertly. With enemy cavalry at the borders, a plague once again gripping the capital, and deadly assassinations coming one after another, what path will she choose? “History is a ledger of merit for the victors and a record of crimes for the defeated.” Can she carve out a place of her own in a patriarchal society? Note: The heroine grows over the course of the story. Some people will fall for her, but there is no official couple: she is devoted to her career. The pacing is relatively slow. If readers grow fond of a male lead, bonus chapters may be added later.
