Snake Tracks on a Snowy Night: The Mystery of the National Treasure City

Chen Mo, a Palace Museum restorer, is jolted awake by a mysterious phone call: the missing Snake Head of the Old Summer Palace’s Twelve Zodiac Animal Heads is about to appear at an underground auction in Paris.

Dressed in black, he sneaks into the auction venue, a medieval tomb converted for the purpose, and pays a fortune for the Snake Head amid a vicious clash between the wealthy and the underworld.

On his way back, he is ambushed. Chen Mo stages a death-defying parkour escape across the rooftops by the Seine, and the Snake Head unexpectedly triggers a mechanism in the midst of the crisis.

A bronze snake talisman points to the Bridge of Sighs in Venice. He follows the trail there, only to be surrounded by the Italian Mafia.

At the last possible moment, Irene, a Cambridge archaeologist, comes to the rescue in a gondola. “Let’s work together. This map points to Egypt’s Library of the Dead.”
