I Know Not the Heavenly Palace: Xiaoli

The Palace in the Heavens, I Know Not Where centers on the fateful bond between Ji Xiaoli and a mysterious jade flute, unfolding an epic showdown that spans three realms and a thousand years. When the Imperial Puppets crumble and the shadow of the “Nether River Sacrifice,” unleashed by the Bronze Masked Man, falls over the land, a thousand-year-old conspiracy involving the sacrifice of the hearts of the Twelve Imperial Clans comes to light. Cultists of the Evil God seek to use the ritual to breach the divide between yin and yang and resurrect the entire Demon Domain.

Ji Xiaoli takes the jade flute and joins forces with Prince Rui, Abbas, and Pei Yan. Together, they enter the miasma-shrouded Hundred Thousand Mountains, facing hordes of corpses with their hearts torn out and rivers of blood flowing with resentment. In a gorge where time and space are in disarray, they discover that the Bronze Masked Man is none other than the late emperor, who faked his death. Using the imperial bloodline as a vessel, he seeks to become an Evil God and overturn the three realms. The astral power and secrets of reincarnation hidden within the jade flute are their only hope against his evil power.

From the Heart of Hellfire in the Dragonbone Secret Cavern to the Star-Rail Altar lost among the Star Isles, the group gradually uncovers the jade flute’s past and present as they contend with the Shadow Pavilion’s forces. It is a divine instrument used by an ancient musician to seal away the Evil God, and Ji Xiaoli is its twenty-seventh reincarnation. As the red crystal veins stir, mysteries emerge from the underwater city, rifts in space and time open, and even an interstellar red crystal insectoid race launches an expedition, the battle spreads from the human world to the cosmos, weaving together imperial secrets, bloodline sacrifices, and a guardianship that endures across reincarnations.

The jade flute’s “Soul-Calming Requiem” washes away resentment, the “Star-Rail Soul-Calming Requiem” stirs the galaxy, and the “Song of Eternity” rings across the stars. As the struggle between light and evil spans a thousand years, and the destiny of reincarnation intertwines with the bonds of the present, Ji Xiaoli and her companions wield courage as their blade and conviction as their shield, writing a story of sacrifice on the boundary between light and darkness.
