Danganronpa: A Triple Narrative

Lin Chen (Mu Yuchen) woke up to find himself transmigrated into a Danganronpa fanfic whose prologue had just been announced. He had become an Ultimate Gamer in a V3 setting, with his life hanging in the balance and despair all but guaranteed in the end. Lin Chen had planned to coast along until the very end: Come on, life, can’t you let me off just this once… But when he reached the end of the game, Lin Chen discovered that everyone in it was someone he knew. His childhood friend, who had become the mastermind: Bro, just tell me who you want dead and I’ll make sure they’re finished. Lin Chen: …Can we kill Monokuma? A classmate who had died young once already and then died again: 666, Monokuma totally set you up. Lin Chen: You’re one tough cockroach yourself. In short, this is a story about everyone joining forces to fight back against manufactured despair and hope, uncover the truth, and return to reality. Reader’s guide: 1. No romance, ship whoever you like. 2. Set in the V3 universe, but with some original headcanon. All characters are original, though V3 characters may make appearances later. 3. The logic may not always be airtight. This is a honkaku-style mystery. 4. Anyone can die, including the protagonist. The story may end in a Game Over, but the ending will definitely be happy. 5. The protagonist has a close female friend, with no romantic tension whatsoever. (This is very, very important.) 6. There are lots and lots of clues, so if you spot any, feel free to go back and reread. 7. The story’s core still follows V3’s opposition to Danganronpa. During the plot, the protagonist will argue against the comments, oppose Danganronpa, and speak out against the audience and the production team. 8. Not sure if I should warn you, but the mastermind’s identity is buried pretty deep. You can work it out from another angle, though… There are clues.
