Back to a Future with You

[Reverse: 1999, game-inspired plot, original additional scenes, esoteric religion, many original settings and characters]

The covered corridor is silent. Rainwater flows upward from the ground.

The final night of 1999 has yet to end. From then on, every chime of the clock will drag the world into the same abyss. The Foundation’s ark and the Manus Vindictae’s sacrifices intertwine in the shadows, forming the two sides of a coin caught between them.

Arcana chants secret lore, trying to make the “Storm” a door that can topple the boundaries of the world.

Vertin, the only Timekeeper untouched by the rain, shelters in her suitcase the faces cast out by their era.

Lin Luo’an records in her notebook testimonies that cannot be erased from the archives. Beside them, Xi Yan tears open the cracks in silence with her impulsiveness, Luo Xi receives shattered stories with empathy, and Liang Chuan Xiyun measures the scale of the darkness with her blade and cool composure. They stand outside the spotlight, but when the Storm rewinds everything, the traces they leave behind endure longer than the rain.

The lingering echoes of the Key of the Door drift in the radiance. Every step leaves a scar on the world’s surface that cannot be rewound.

The rain will come again.

But the road they have walked will last longer than the rain.
