Quantum Rider: Surviving in the Wilderness of the Ming Dynasty

In 2025, delivery rider Pan Shuai is struck by a strange purple bolt of lightning while making a delivery on a stormy night, and transmigrates with his bike to the northern wilderness of the Ming dynasty during the Yongle era. His delivery box mutates through quantum entanglement, becoming an “entropy-reduction container” that can control the flow of time to a limited extent. In the Ming wilderness, ravaged by the Little Ice Age, this modern-day laborer must use makeshift technology cobbled together from his delivery gear to survive starvation and cold, suspicious frontier outposts, and the mysterious “time rifts” that are tracking him.

When Pan Shuai discovers that each use of the delivery box's quantum abilities triggers local climate anomalies, he realizes he is not only a transmigrator, but also an “entropy anchor” for two different eras. After meeting an exiled firearms artisan, he gradually understands that his journey through time was no accident: a technological resonance links the Ming dynasty's watertight bulkhead techniques and firearms research with the modern technology he carries. To find a way to repair the time rifts, Pan Shuai must carve out a path to survival in the ancient wilderness using a delivery rider's resourcefulness, without changing the main course of history. In the end, he discovers that the technological secret linking the two eras is hidden in the most basic needs of survival.
