Playing Her Dog Again?

[Both leads are romantically inexperienced + charged push-and-pull + semi-coercive (?) + an even mix of school and city life]

[Fake aloof, secretly rebellious flirt X fake sunny, secretly dark and obsessive]

Jiang Ting was seen as a rotten girl who toyed with people’s feelings and had a life on her conscience.

“Exiled” by the Jiang family to Wu City, she met a boy who looked strikingly like Shen Tunan on her very first day at her new school.

When she first met Xia Shiming, Jiang Ting really couldn’t tear her attention away from those eyes, with half a pond of springtime hidden in them.

She never expected this “happy puppy” to cling to her of his own accord.

Back then, Jiang Ting was young and didn’t know that there were many kinds of puppies.

Puppies could pretend, too. They could change.

Thinking she had brought her “stand-in” and “revenge” love game with Xia Shiming to an end, she left for another country to study, carefree.

Five years later, she returned to the capital, Yunyi City, only to be cornered in the lounge of a lavish banquet by Xia Shiming, who had become the Shen family heir.

Jiang Ting looked into those sparkling, beguiling eyes, now replaced by heavy shadows of obsession and menace.

Only then did she belatedly realize:

A puppy who looks obedient might also be a feral dog, a mad dog.

As a teenager, Xia Shiming was all bluster: “She likes dogs. What am I supposed to do about it? Seriously, I have my own pace.”

In his twenties, Xia Shiming was all “Y” except for his mouth: “She could win over plenty of dogs at once, but she only picked me.”
