Ni Haixia Talks About Traditional Chinese Medicine "Shen Nong's Materia Medica"

Professor Ni Haixia from Soochow University in Taiwan interprets the traditional Chinese medicine classic "Shen Nong's Materia Medica". "Shen Nong's Materia Medica", referred to as "Ben Cao Jing" or "Ben Jing", is the earliest existing pharmacological monograph in my country. "Shen Nong's Materia Medica" was written in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was not written by one person at a time. It was a monograph written by many medical scientists during the Qin and Han Dynasties that summarized, collected, and organized the pharmacological experience and results of that time. It was the first systematic summary of Chinese herbal medicine in my country. Most of the pharmacological theories and compatibility rules stipulated in it, as well as the principle of "harmony of seven emotions", have played a huge role in thousands of years of medicinal practice, and are known as classics of traditional Chinese medicine. Therefore, for a long period of history, it has been a textbook for doctors and pharmacists to learn Chinese medicine, and it is also one of the essential reference books on the desks of medical workers.
