A Happy Cultivation Guide for the Hehuan Sect

When you hear the words “Hehuan Sect,” what comes to mind? A warm red canopy, natural seduction, or carnal embraces and dual cultivation through harvesting yin and replenishing yang?

Hold it! Get those R-rated images out of your head!

The “Hehuan” we practice here is nothing like that! It is neither a crooked path nor indecent behavior, but a lofty state of being: “harmony among all things, unity with the Dao, and joy in one's heart.”

Those who cultivate this path take heaven and earth as their confidants and all things as their friends. They believe that “all things in the world have feelings, and bringing them joy brings me joy, too,” and strive to forge profound connections and mutual understanding with birds and beasts, mountains and rivers, plants and trees, and even wind, frost, rain, and snow. They do not breathe in spiritual energy, but “draw in happiness”; they do not retreat into arduous meditation, but “scatter laughter everywhere.” Their aim is to make the whole world just a little happier through their existence!
