Our youth in real life is ordinary. In one relationship after another, we play the coward. We can't be as carefree and passionate as the characters in novels. There are no guarantees of a happy ending where the hero and heroine stay together after overcoming every hardship. Perhaps unrequited love and secret crushes that can never see the light of day are simply the norm in life.
When ordinary Song Chao meets Lu Angzhou, who seems to shine with his own light, a story that begins sweetly and ends in heartbreak quietly takes root.
