An ordinary "diaosi" Wang Xiaoming was accidentally hit by a falling sign and injured his right eye. After recovering, he unexpectedly gained the special ability to see ghosts. He first discovered a female ghost (later known as "Tsing Yi") who had lost her memory and was dressed as a student from the Republic of China. He was able to communicate spiritually with her through her right eye.
