The Two Prides of Tianya Ke

Twenty years ago, at Liuxian Manor, its master Liu Chi unexpectedly met Shangguan Feng, a maid from the Star-Seizing Palace. Deeply attracted to each other, they fell in love. But the Star-Seizing Palace had strict rules requiring its disciples to sever their seven emotions and six desires. Under these rules, love was forbidden. In the end, the two eloped for love and lived in seclusion in the countryside, where they had twin sons. But after they broke the palace rules and someone informed on them, they met a violent end. A loyal servant risked his life to take the twins away, but was killed while fleeing their pursuers. Of the newborns, the elder brother was fortunately rescued by the Thousand-Faced Thief and named Yan Bugui. He grew up amid street cons and sleight of hand, becoming a mischievous but clever young rogue. The other child was taken in and raised at the Star-Seizing Palace by Mu Tianjiao, and named Mu Lansheng. He grew into a solitary young man with a cold expression, though beneath his frosty exterior he was warm-hearted and deeply devoted. As adults, the two were fortunate enough to meet in the martial world and became good friends. But Mu Tianjiao wanted the brothers, bound by blood, to kill each other. Fortunately, the two became caught up in a martial-world conspiracy by chance. After going through many trials, the truth finally came to light, and the brothers reunited.
