A Paper Warrior God, Serving Up a Feast Right in the Tomb

Synopsis: [Comedy + irreverent tomb raiding + supernatural horror + a touch of mystery + feel-good power trip + adventure + no female lead + no romance + a touch of ensemble cast]

Xiao Erbai opens a shop called Erbai Paper Effigies on a street between two apartment buildings. He spends his days crafting paper effigies and livestreaming, while a palm-sized paper figure named Yiqiong chatters away in his ear. Life is happier than a god's.

That peaceful life is shattered one quiet afternoon, when four drenched, burly men show up at the shop.

When a thousand-year-old blood corpse gets folded into a Hello Kitty,

when a thousand-year-old female ghost is forced by a paper effigy bound to her life to sign an “Underworld Livestream Shopping Contract,”

the whole internet explodes: #SomeoneShouldInvestigateThisCraftsman#

“Is that really a paper effigy? That's an Iron Man from the underworld!”

“The tomb owner complains: Did your paper effigy list my burial goods on Xianyu?”

Xiao Erbai sits innocently outside the Erbai Paper Effigies shop, crafting paper dolls. “I told you, I'm not going into tombs...”

His life-bound paper effigy, Yiqiong, suddenly snatches his phone and opens a livestream:

“Hey, everyone! The 9.9-yuan Yin Virtue package is up for sale!”
