Meta-Code: Ascension

In the near future, humanity has entered the interstellar age, and the ancient legends of “cultivation” are dismissed as absurd myths.

Ling Chen, a genius quantum physicist expelled from the academic world, has been disgraced by his theory that “spiritual energy is high-dimensional energy leaking into our world.” During a forbidden private experiment, he unexpectedly captures a trace of energy from a higher-dimensional space with a quantum collider and successfully “encodes” it into himself.

He discovers that so-called “spiritual energy” is not some ethereal, mysterious substance, but a fundamental force of the universe that can be calculated, guided, and encoded. Ancient cultivation manuals are essentially “source code” for manipulating this high-dimensional energy, while ascending to immortality is the ultimate scientific leap: a life form breaking free of its three-dimensional body and evolving into a higher-dimensional form of life.

Just as Ling Chen thinks he has opened the door to the realm of the gods, he discovers that his old findings have already caught the attention of the world's biggest tech conglomerate, the Skydome Group. Its executive, Ji Yao, is decisive and ruthless. She comes to him with unquestionable orders and resources he cannot refuse.

What she wants is the “source code” in Ling Chen's brain, so she can turn “cultivation,” this extraordinary miracle of evolution, into a product that can be mass-produced, controlled, and monopolized.

One is a mad scientist seeking the truth of the universe and desperate to prove himself.

The other is an elite determined to control the future and bring everything under her corporate empire.
