They placed second in Chizhou and Jiangning respectively, becoming legends. Engineer Zhao Ziqiang arrives in Chizhou during the Tang Dynasty, where he meets Cheng Huilan and Zhou Qiwei and falls in love with both beautiful women. Hoping to persuade the emperor to grant him permission to marry them both, Zhao Ziqiang accompanies his junior sisters to the capital to sit the examinations and petition the emperor for a marriage decree. With the Tang Dynasty in ruins and seemingly beyond saving, Zhao Ziqiang and his junior sisters turn the tide. They meet Imperial Consort Guo, take on the emperor, topple the second and third princes, and raise the fourth prince to power. They instill the idea that a prosperous people make a prosperous nation in Bai Juyi and Cui Qun, and clash repeatedly with the chancellors and ministers, choosing a different path. They kill Prince Kang in Jiangning, Prince Fu in Hongzhou, and the underworld’s criminal gangs in the capital. They pacify Huai-Xi, govern it, and bring peace to the northwest, forging a new golden age for the Tang. The Tang Dynasty in all its splendor: romance, commerce, and officialdom!
