The story opens on what seems like an ordinary day, when Su Wan’s peaceful life is suddenly shattered. Her husband, Zhou Mingyu, dies under mysterious and horrifying circumstances. While making arrangements after his death, Su Wan accidentally awakens a mysterious power called “Echoes” and is drawn into a terrifying time loop known as “The Seven-Day End.”
In this loop, everything resets on the seventh day, and time returns to the beginning. Only a handful of people, like Su Wan, who have awakened the power of “Echoes,” retain their memories. Su Wan discovers that she is trapped in a strange city known as the “Land of the End.” It is steeped in the stench of death: dilapidated buildings, flickering lights, and eerie sounds that echo through the streets all send chills down her spine.
A mysterious group wearing animal masks, known as the “Twelve Zodiac,” controls the city’s rules and constantly urges the participants to take part in various “death games.” To have any hope of escaping this terrifying place, the participants must gamble against the Zodiac members and collect 3,600 special tokens called “Dao” within seven days. But as the story unfolds, Su Wan gradually realizes that things are far from simple. Collecting “Dao” may be nothing but a lie, and a deeper conspiracy lies hidden behind it all...
