Starting Today, I'm the Grim Reaper

After overworked office worker Su Xiaoman dies unexpectedly, she is forced to become a "soul courier" in the Underworld, responsible for guiding spirits stranded among the living. The silver-haired Grim Reaper Lu Wuchang, who keeps interfering with her work, seems like a rival, but is actually the one bound by a contract to protect her for a thousand years.

When Su Xiaoman discovers that she is the thirteenth soul and that her memories have been sealed, the truth behind a conspiracy in the Underworld, the sacrifice of the first Grim Reaper, and the resurgence of the Eye of Chaos gradually comes to light. Su Xiaoman and Lu Wuchang go from disliking each other to being willing to die for one another. Amidst an adventure that makes them laugh and cry, they use snark to fight fate and heartfelt devotion to heal old obsessions.

Wrapped in a humorous exterior is a tearjerking core. This is a soul-guiding journey about letting go of one's obsessions, and a song of protection and redemption spanning a thousand years. When a courier meets the Grim Reaper, the ultimate act of rebellion for an overworked office worker is rewriting the rules of the Underworld.
