[Guild Wars 2 Fan Fiction] + [Steampunk] + [One Female Lead] + [Decisive and Ruthless]
A Guild Wars 2 fan-fiction novel set in 1325, after the gods have departed. The young Li Yao is the son of a lowly miner, and a student about to take the college entrance exam. With his excellent grades, he hopes to enter the empire's top university and escape his status as one of the lowest-born Dustfolk.
But a mining disaster shatters this already tottering family. His father dies in the accident, his mother falls gravely ill, and there is nowhere to appeal and no hope of help.
The humble Dustfolk have no basic human rights. Li Yao had planned to be a good-for-nothing, bent over an assembly line for the rest of his life. But then a nearly impossible hope appears: a slim chance to bring the mining conglomerate that devoured his father down from its pedestal.
Risking his life, he sneaks into the disaster site to gather evidence, only to be pursued by security guards and accidentally fall into a deep fissure with extremely high radiation.
Tens of thousands of roentgens of high-energy radiation break open the genetic lock within him. From then on, he embarks on a path to godhood unlike anything he had ever heard of.
