The Iron Army of the Taihang Mountains

On the night Beiping fell in 1937, Xu Jianfeng, a foreign student at Yanjing University, awakens the “Iron-Blooded War of Resistance System” amid the Japanese army’s bombardment of the city. He gives up the chance to study in Japan and returns to his hometown in the Taihang Mountains to organize an armed resistance. Starting with just eight battered rifles, he joins forces with courageous patriots including Su Yuqing, a military doctor; Lin Moxue, an underground Party member; and Chu Minglan, a secret service agent. Together, they forge a “Taihang Iron Army” that terrifies the Japanese.

This is an epic of technological warfare, a heroic anthem as grand as the mountains and rivers, and a saga of growth forged in the flames of war. When the smoke clears, the land is restored, but those iron-blooded years will forever be etched in the deepest reaches of the nation’s memory.
