Dream of the Red Chamber: Jia Zheng Defies Fate

A shut-in transmigrates into the Red Chamber as Jia Zheng, just as the second generation of the Jia family is falling into decay and the third generation’s Jia Zhu has died. The Rongguo Mansion is beginning its decline.

Jia Zheng possesses the supreme cultivation manual, The Sutra of the Past Buddha. He progresses through the stages of mental focus, leaving the body, night roaming, day roaming, manifestation, possession, ghost immortal, human immortal, and yang spirit, then battles the illusionary realm of Taixu.

He builds armor and weapons, constructs straight roads, introduces sweet potatoes, and supports the state. He is granted a ducal title, hereditary and irrevocable, and defies fate to change the Jia family’s destiny.
