[Apocalypse + System + decisive and ruthless + building a faction + invincible + black stockings] When the apocalypse breaks out, Han Li and his stepmother, Shen Xinghui, who wears black stockings, are trapped inside their home. They have been starving for three days and are too weak to move. Just then, his stepmother’s best friend turns into a zombie after drinking tap water. During the struggle, Han Li gets scratched. Thinking he’s about to die, he unexpectedly awakens a System! Apocalypse Daily Intelligence System! [Daily Intel 1: A wanted murderer lives in apartment 2403 on the floor above you. He has a handgun, a dagger, and several bullets. He has already turned into a zombie. Note: Watch out for zombies lunging right in your face.] [Daily Intel 2: A patch of mutated ivy grows on the back wall of Building 14. At noon, an ability fruit will grow among the vines.] [Daily Intel 3: A white tiger that escaped from the zoo is fighting a mysterious monster and has been badly injured. If you rescue and heal her now, there’s a chance the mutated tiger will make you her master.] [Daily Intel 4: A towering tree grows on the island in the middle of Yujiang Lake. If you keep providing it with a steady supply of flesh and blood, it can continuously produce ability fruits for you. Note: Zombie flesh and blood will do, too.] [Daily Intel 5: The Zombie King Lei Ting is coming with an army of hundreds of thousands of zombies. Kill it and seize its power over lightning!] With the Daily Intelligence System, Han Li is always one step ahead. He also awakens a devouring-sequence ability: Swallowed Star! As long as he devours an Esper’s body, Han Li can seize their abilities. And so, a power-harvesting machine is born.
