Bright and Glowing at Dusk

[Reunited after a breakup + reunited after years apart + bittersweet entanglement + 1v1 + a determined mute woman with bipolar disorder + a broken CEO who loves her deeply but approaches with careful trepidation + a husband's desperate pursuit + happy ending] During the typhoon rains of the summer solstice, Gu Yuheng reunites with Jiang Wanyue, the mute woman. The love that had never faded draws him back to her. Her honesty and radiance pull him under, and he finds himself drawn to her light. She fights back against those who bully her, and those who hurt him. She eats like a little hamster, and she takes the initiative to show him her love. But after their reunion, a strange high fever and nightmares hold him fast beneath the burden of knowing what lies ahead. If she stays with him, they won't be able to change their tragic ending. So he lets go, and fate returns to where it was seven years ago. What if she isn't as radiant as she seems, or as fond of cream mille-feuille as she appears to be? What if those feelings she shows so naturally are only because she's ill? Regret and guilt intertwine; drawing near and letting go pull them in opposite directions. When Jiang Wanyue comes down with a high fever, Gu Yuheng is shaken with panic. Dazed, she edges closer to the source of the chill. Gu Yuheng takes off his clothes and even considers taking a cold shower, all to make her more comfortable. Yet once her temperature stabilizes, he doesn't dare go near her. If fate offers a chance to break the cycle, this time he will never let go again. He woos her passionately, teams up with her love rival, reads guides to winning over domineering CEOs, and even borrows a child to go undercover. Gu Yuheng will blindly imitate and learn anything that could give him a chance to get closer to her. Wanyue, come closer. Take my hand and let me lead you out of the darkness of depression. But the truth is, only by holding on to your hand can I find peace in this life.
