The Beloved Empress Xiao and Her Peach Blossom Calamity

A tragic romance between Jiang Ye, the all-powerful ruler of Haiguo, and Empress Xiao, whose small kingdom has fallen into ruin. Xiao Wei, empress of Shengguo, was murdered and perished in a sea of flames. Thanks to an ancient jade pendant, she was reborn with a new identity in a new country, Haiguo. At the time, Haiguo was engulfed in war. With no other choice, Xiao Wei disguised herself as a man, infiltrated the Haiguo army, and became a soldier. Jiang Ye, king of Haiguo, wielded immense power and was uniting the many states large and small. One day, he happened upon the frail, petite soldier Xiao Wei and tried to drive her out of the camp, but the jade pendant at her waist caught his eye. He assigned her to the cooks, where she was put in charge of preparing meals for the army. Since they served in the same unit, Xiao Wei's cooking amazed Jiang Ye, who often kept her behind to make him late-night snacks. One night, after keeping her in the camp, Jiang Ye discovered that Xiao Wei was a woman, and forced himself on her. Thus began a bizarre, sweet yet cruel erotic romance: the all-powerful king and general of Haiguo indulges in both affection and abuse toward Xiao Wei, the empress of a defeated, impoverished nation, while she satisfies his desire for therapeutic cuisine and physical gratification.
