The Charming 70s Chef: A Cold Professor's True Love Story

When Xu Jingshu opens her eyes, she’s back in the resource-starved 1970s. Her previous life was wasted, but in this one she has a mysterious pocket space filled with rare ingredients and a miraculous spiritual spring, along with a max-level talent for cooking! Starting as a helper in a state-run canteen, she wins people over with bowls of irresistible scallion-oil noodles and melt-in-your-mouth braised pork. With flavors far ahead of their time, she quietly conquers everyone’s appetite and changes her life of hardship.

Then she meets Professor Zhou Yanbai, aloof and refined, seeming almost too pure for the mundane world. When they first meet, he turns his nose up at the canteen food and treats her as if she doesn’t exist. Xu Jingshu raises an eyebrow and smiles. An iceberg? Then she’ll melt him with good food!

And so begins Professor Zhou’s “I can’t get enough” chronicle:

He frowns and nitpicks, but once she turns away, he scrapes his bowl clean.

He claims to be researching traditional food, just so he can openly ask her to cook for him.

He acts perfectly composed, but his ears turn red when he tastes her special pastries...

When delicacies from her pocket space fill the air with their fragrance, and the pretty chef works her magic, even the coldest iceberg will eventually be warmed by the finest flavors of everyday life. Watch Xu Jingshu use one hand to wield a spatula and the other to work her pocket space, cooking up a bright future amid the bustling life of the era, and winning the heart of a haughty professor!

Nothing is warmer than the comforts of everyday life, and nothing is sweeter than an iceberg who can’t resist a good meal!
